This mid century modern storage headboard by Heywood Wakefield features solid wood construction, original Sable finish, signature Robin's Egg Blue backing inside the storage area and opened shelving in the middle.
I believe this headboard is king sized. The measurements are for overall width. Not the dimensions between the brackets where the bed frame is attached.

Condition: Sturdy and solid construction. Original finish has some cosmetic wear and discoloration on the top (see photos). The tambour doors work well. Light oxidation on the chrome drawer pulls but overall this piece is in fantastic shape for its age. 8.5/10
